OVERTURE

My Angelenean Experience

Welcome to my portfolio website! Since the instructions told not to put any personal information, this about me section will only include some random snippets of information about myself.

If it wasn't obvious, I am a student of Angeles University Foundation. My class is under the College of Allied Medical Professions, so expect a lot of relations from the topics I will tackle here to my field of study.

I have a great love for the arts, and for this reason do I also have a great love for ethics, the environment, and other things. I do believe that the sciences, arts, and humanities are all intertwined, and I hope that my input here in this portfolio website will serve as an inspiration to everyone.

By the way, I shifted from using Wix to using Neocities! They're mostly for personal reasons, but also because I didn't want my site to look so sterile. I have other timely reasons I won't be mentioning here, but I have been interested in learning HTML and CSS! So, I thought: this is a good opportunity, isn't it? I know, very professional of me. That was in jest. But I want to do my part to break the monotony of the internet and in some part break out against the monopoly that social media sites and providers like Google hold over the internet. Sure, it's way more tedious trying to type all the code out, but I'll think of it like I'm investing in the future.

If you were wondering where the music theme of the site went, I decided to be less ambitious with the website. I'm sorry! But I honestly now much prefer the simplicity of simple photos and text, and I guess it calls more attention to the formatting? I want the focus here to be my input, I suppose.

Could you tell I was tired of plain, minimalist websites? And I feel that this is a more authentic representation of myself in website form. In case you were wondering, I tried to capture some old internet flair. It's kind of maximalistic? Or just straight up silly!

In case you were wondering what the code looks like. I'm still learning HTML as I type this out. Or you can just try Right Click>Inspect Element
